Welcome Falcon Families! 

I am humbled and honored to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal at Voy Spears Elementary. I can assure you that I share in this school community’s dedication to caring for our students every day while providing them with a meaningful learning environment. I want to extend a warm greeting to everyone and I look forward to working alongside all of you during this school year.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about background. I am a proud product of the Blue Springs School District. Upon graduation from BSHS. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in Elementary Education, as well as my Early Childhood Certification. I have a master’s degree and specialist certification in Literacy from the University of Central Missouri. I then completed my Educational Specialist Degree in Education Leadership from UCM. My teaching career was marked by creating strong relationships built on trust and care as well as pursuing excellence and equality for each student. I had the opportunity to teach first and third grade during my teaching career. I believe that my experience in primary and intermediate grade has provided me with a broad understanding of the elementary school program. I truly love my job and love making a difference every day. It is my hope to continue to make an impact here at Voy Spears and to continue to create an environment where students feel safe, valued, and loved.
